James E. Graney Sr., 84 of Goffstown, New Hampshire died on Tuesday, March 13, 2001 at Catholic Medical Center in Manchester. Dad was born on July 26th 1916 in Boston, son of the late Edward and Ida May (Williams) Graney. He had been a resident of Goffstown for the past 15 years and previously lived in Nashua for many years. Dad worked as a mechanical engineer at Raytheon Company in Boston and Sanders Associates in Nashua for more than 30 years. He retired in 1967. He was an avid musician, golfer, and chess player. For many years he volunteered at local nursing homes playing the organ and piano. Survivors include a son, James E. Graney Jr. of Mason; two daughters, Judith L. Trest of San Diego, CA and Barbara J. Brown of Lundeborough, a brother, George Graney of South Boston, Mass; six grandchildren, a great-grandchild and several nieces and nephews.

The Memorial Service was held in Lyndeborough, New Hampshire on March 17, 2001 and the burial service was held in Lochabar Mines, Nova Scotia where he was laid to rest beside his mother, Ida May Williams Graney on May 19, 2001.
